“Bupa Great Edinburgh Run.” Held in Holyrood Park for the first time this year, this 10km route takes some of the city’s stunning landmarks including Edinburgh Castle and Scott Monument.

“Race for Life South Queensferry.” Enjoy a 5km run by the Firth of Forth whilst remembering those affected by cancer. Join in the theme by dressing head to toe in pink!

“Pedal it Pink.” Holyrood Park turns pink for the day as the ladies support the Breast Cancer Campaign by cycling a marathon or half marathon.

“Run Edinburgh Event.” Edinburgh will be overrun with keen fundraisers as the Edinburgh Marathon, Scottish Half Marathon and the Hairy Haggis Relay all kick off on the same day. Over 200 charities will benefit from over 4000 participants and their sponsor money.

“Challenge Scotland.” Choose from a range of events from a 1.6km walk to a 5 km run. Awards for best fancy dress as well as a samba band make this no ordinary run!

“Race for Life Edinburgh.” Help raise money for cancer charities and sufferers by walking, running or jogging the fun 5km or 10km course. The whole city supports the cause; even supporters don their pink outfits.

“Moonwalk Edinburgh.” This overnight event sees participants power walk a marathon or half marathon; all walkers (even the men) will wear decorated bras to raise awareness for breast cancer.

“United Bungee Jump Edinburgh.” As part of their Jump Free for Charity Campaign, choose from over fifty charities to support and then take the plunge. This one will not be for the faint hearted.

“Edinburgh’s Rat Race.” This is an urban adventure challenge that will turn the city into an adventure playground for participants of all abilities. Teams will hike, bike, abseil, climb, kayak and navigate their way around the streets, structures and waterways of Edinburgh.

“Fresh n Lo Pedal for Scotland.” An event suitable for all ages and abilities. Pick one of two routes from Glasgow to Edinburgh or a short family route and cycle to support Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres.
